Firstly I would like to outline that I offer both short term and long-term therapy. This is decided upon by the issue(s) brought to the therapy and mutually agreed by both client and therapist.
I like to work with clients by first exploring what brings them to therapy and what they hope to achieve. By unravelling some of the causes for continued feeling of ‘stuckness’, I hope to build new ways of understanding, to encourage an empowered person, one that maintains success, and copes better with future ‘bumps’ along the road of life.
As you will no doubt have seen from other therapists’ pages, I too offer a safe and welcoming environment to explore what you want to work through. My personal approach is not to tell you what is right or wrong, I will never be qualified to do so. Instead I offer a space to try and make sense of the situation that has brought you to therapy and together work towards a new path.
I am a firm believer that the relationship between the client and the therapist is vitally important. All our work together will be adapted to each individual and re-adapted as necessary throughout our meetings. This ‘pluralistic’ stance matches with my personal style and professional training.
You may either email or call initially to help me find out more about what brings you to therapy and arrange an introductory meeting. The initial session gives me a chance to get a better, wider picture of the person and what has brought them into therapy. It also offers a non-obligatory chance for us to feel if we are a good fit for one another. At the end of the meeting we will make an initial plan as to the length of on-going sessions and plan opportunities to review the arrangements.

Location and practicalities
I have quiet private rooms in Kentish Town and Kings Cross. If you need a session outside of office hours, I can usually see people until 10.00pm on weekdays and have limited spaces on Saturday mornings.
Sessions are 50 minutes in length and are usually weekly. If there are times when you are away from London and would still like to keep your appointment, I am able to offer online sessions.
