About me

My training as an integrative psychotherapist means I draw on ideas from several schools of thought – my main influences come from Gestalt, Existential psychotherapy and psychodynamics. I also incorporate mindfulness techniques in my work. My approach is humanistic and relational and central to it is the view that self-awareness is key to psychological health, healing and wellbeing. Recognizing that we are all unique I tailor my work in response to each individual.

I provide an open, non-judgmental environment where you can talk freely and explore whatever is troubling you. I offer a focused, regular space and time where you’ll be listened to and encouraged to pause, self-reflect and look beneath the surface; to explore and discover more about yourself and find your strengths. I’ll support and challenge you to look with interest and compassion (not self-criticism) into who you are and why you do what you do. This process helps you develop deeper self- understanding, emotional resilience and to become clearer about your choices and best path ahead.

My experience

I’m experienced in working with a wide range of concerns, some of which are- depression, anxiety, relationship issues, divorce, low self-esteem, lack of confidence, sexuality, family difficulties, trauma, issues from childhood, abuse, bereavement & loss, life transitions (ageing, divorce, retirement, illness, moving home), student issues.

I’m particularly skilled and experienced in working with issues related to bereavements & loss; this includes working with those who have suffered a traumatic bereavement such as a suicide, accident or death of a child.
